What am I protesting?

I have decided to protest against the killing of sharks for their fins. Every year 100 to 200 million sharks are killed only for their fins. The fins are used to make shark fin soup. When we cut off the fins we drop the sharks back into the ocean. The sharks are still alive after we have cut off their fins, but because they can't swim without their fins the sharks sink to the bottom and drown. These sharks are dying horrible deaths just because we want to eat a specific type of soup. I am protesting against the killing of sharks for their fins on my own, I am not part of an organization.
