Although shark finning takes place all over the world I will be focusing on the banning of selling shark fins in Canada. The sharks that thrive in Canadian waters are not the same sharks that are being killed for their fins. Even though we arn't killing sharks in Canada, we do have a huge fish market and this includes the selling and distribution of shark fins in restaurants and meat markets. I will be writing to the Vancouver Sun about this problem. I am hoping that an article that I will send in will be in the Vancouver Sun so it can spread my hatred toward the killing of sharks for food. Other great forms of protest include writing petitions, arranging community speeches, writing letters, and refusing to eat at restaurants and shopping at the fish markets that contain the shark fins.
